Norma enjoys painting the beauty of nature in landscapes and also the free expression of form, shape and colour on wrap-around canvas, with a view to that special place for art in home decorating. The latter form of symbolistic art has become Norma's signature, and is particularly suited to commissioned work which enhances the colour scheme of room décor.

Norma has recently been juried and upgraded to Active status in the Federation of Canadian Artists. A successful participant in several Art Shows, Norma is a member of the Comox Valley chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Originals Only groups of Fine Artists.
